PERFORMANCE SKILLS RESIDENTIAL CLASSICAL

For advanced students, performers and teachers

8th April – 11th April 2008 (From Tuesday 6pm – Friday 5pm)

On this, the seventh annual performance skills course, we will explore a rich variety of approaches to dance and perfromance, focussing on the dramatic and expressive aspects, using a lengthy classical piece.

This course is designed to help experienced dancers move beyond their comfort zone and explore new possibilities of expression in the classical style of Egyptian dance.

We will look at what is fundamental and essential to this dance and how to enrich interpretation and choreography, giving it a modern edge.

If you like to explore new, exciting movement material, like to experiment and be challenged than this course is for you!

Fees include all tuition, accommodation and meals.

Start with an evening meal on the first day, followed by a relaxing preparatory movement session and end around 5pm on the last day.

There will be a celebratory party where you can dance informally and/or present a dance piece if you wish.
